For the past 20 years, I've studied and performed with keyboards, guitars and woodwind instruments while exploring a very wide variety of music ranging from classical and rock to jazz and avant-garde. I then usually work on scales, technique and etudes, and then work on any major repertoir that may have been assigned. I then finish by setting goals for the week, and answering any further questions. I a very upbeat and engaging teacher, and I am not afraid to adress problems head on. I find it important to both acknowledge accomplishments and use effective criticizm. I expect the highest level of comitment and work from my students, but enjoy helping students reach this level, and to become excited and proud of the results this yeilds. Read More
