I allow for children to learn fundamentals in a fun way so they can begin to read music and perform if they are interested. As the student progresses I begin introducing them to solo repertoire, scales studies, and jazz improvisation. My approach is much different with adult students. I ask them what are their musical goals and from there I can create a curriculum based on adult students needs and wants.
