With a combination of videos for inspiration, singing for audiation, and moving for connection to the instrument and how our muscles respond to it. While teaching private lessons to students across Kentucky I also was a music theory tutor for my peers at Morehead. I have most students start with Essential Elements for fundamentals.  Then I progress to solo and duet repertoire when the time a student is able to grasp counterpoint and rhythm well.  Adult students can often move faster due to being able to understand the math behind music.  I also try to incorporate theory and history and culture with my lessons. I believe in a very strong fundamental background and have created a set of exercises geared to maximize effectiveness, and guarantee progress. I grew up in the Cincinnati area and graduated from Fairfield High School in 2005. I began my college career at the University of Cincinnati as a Mechanical Engineering major. While at UC, I rediscovered my passion for music and felt a calling to share that passion with others in the best way I knew how: teaching.
