Once these become ingrained in the student's mind, I will introduce various excerpts based on their skill level, eventually working our way into solo repertoire. I have been teaching clarinet since 2013. I love teaching all ages, including adults! Music making is a lifelong joy. My K-12 students in the past have been accepted to performing arts high schools, college music programs, All-State bands, All-County bands, youth orchestras, and earned superior ratings at Solo & Ensemble festivals. Im a multi faceted musician with particular expertise and passion for jazz. I am an HBCU graduate and am proud of it. I recently completed my masters in Jazz Studies at the University of Arkansas at Monticello on full scholarship as a teaching assistant.
