Music is a big part of everything that I do. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1992. I have performed in ensembles, for weddings and special events, and provided accompaniment services to other musicians. I am an organized teacher and lessons are structured to accommodate technique development and fun solo work. Each month we will set a goal, and build a weekly plan to get you to accomplish that goal. I ask students to keep a journal of their goals and practice time focus so we can measure how we're working to our goal. We will always do warm up exercises, scale of the week to improve sight-reading, finger twisters to improve technical ability, and solo work of your choosing to put all that practice into action! I grew up taking private clarinet lessons in the Seminole county area, all the way through high school before I studied under Dr. Lynn Musco and Mrs. Jessica Speak at Stetson University. While pursuing my studies, I took various pedagogical classes such as Woodwind methods, and Pedagogy for Musicians, both of which I received A+'s in for my final grade.
