I like to sit with my students and have them learn about the parts of the instrument as well as getting to know their instrument. My student shared his positive experience with his friends and his family was impressed by how well he responded to weekly lessons. I do use some of the Hal Leonard's Essential Elements Series material cause it is consistent and user friendly.
