I have been playing drums for 20 years and teaching for over 10 years. I've performed professionally all across the United States, including both coasts and throughout the midwest. In high school, I began teaching by showing my peers how to improve on their percussion instruments. For visual learners, I encourage them to develop their sight-reading skills, but also find creative ways to work around ear training if it is difficult for them. I have experience in teaching voice and drums, dating back to my last semester in college. I have been able to teach young kids the absolute privilege of singing and performing. I really encourage my students to keep practice and warm up times at the top of their priority list. Improving your voice and performance abilities starts with warming up. I also encourage them to enter as many competitions as they can, as well as auditioning for as many shows across the country as they can, so that they can be noticed and people can see what they can do!
