With students learning or continuing education on the piano, like to start with the basics. Once the student begins to have a grasp for that i begin to introduce reading music and theory. I also like to prepare the student to play any genre of music by sheet music or by ear as well. My teaching style will be The Bob Ross approach. If the student doesn't feel relaxed, or isn't having fun, then I would have failed as an instructor. I will always remind my students that talent is just passion met with dedication. I will break down the method to the simplest step, then we will repeat that step until that becomes second nature. Once I was in high school I performed with the majority of our groups including; symphonic band, concert band, jazz band, marching band drumline, and our indoor percussion drumline and my senior year I was section leader for our drumline and concert groups. During my high school career I performed in many WGI contest and finals with our indoor percussion. After high school I marched a season with the DCI group, Memphis Sound where I traveled the east coast for three months performing and practicing. Read More

I began taking private lessons shortly after I joined the band program in middle school. I continued to take lessons all throughout high school and college. Shortly after graduating high school I was offered the position of drum instructor. During college I taught for several years as the drum instructor at Winter Haven High School.
