Music has been my passion my whole life. I love to be able to share my gift with other musicians onstage and my experiences with my students. I am a drummer and producer from Paris (France) and I just moved here. After years touring in Europe and Africa, playing TV shows and doing drum clinics alongside some of the best drummers (Aaron Spears, Brian Frasier Moore, Damien Schmitt..) I have extensive in-home and online teaching experience as well, which includes arranging optimal commute schedules and recitals at schools and theaters. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, its important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress and this makes students eager to learn more. I like to start younger students off with sticking, familiarity with the instrument, basic rudiments and basic notation/reading. Once they have a grasp on basic rhythmic concepts, I like to teach functional grooves so students can begin to play music with others. My emphasis is peformance, and teaching functional grooves/ideas/fills as well as classic percussion literature helps students feel confident in performing. My teaching experience dates back to when I was a student at the Los Angeles High School for the Arts. While pursuing my own education I also had five private drum students ranging from the ages of 7-15. I am fortunate enough to have learned a great deal about teaching all different ages from my father, who has been a private guitar teacher for over 35 years. During my time at Berklee College of Music, I taught group clinics and while our tour with the Karen Lovely Band I mentored mentally handicapped music students in the Netherlands with a group called United By Music.
