My teaching experience started while I was attending high school. I began working at local band camps over the summer during my senior year and I found the experience to be cathartic and extremely rewarding. At the beginning of my college career, I started working with several band programs as an instructor and private lesson teacher. I have been actively teaching students of all ages since 2007. I was a section leader throughout high school and on into my undergraduate degree in percussion. This involved both teaching groups of my peers but also giving individual attention to anyone who needed the extra help. For beginning students who are children, I typically like to start with rudiments and technique studies. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will introduce the Moeller method. Later will move to the drumset and apply all 3 methods and became to develop what I like to call he groove and bass excises and different warm ups.
