Music has been a passion of mine my entire life. I started piano at the age of 4, flute at the age of 10, and sang throughout. I have enjoyed performing in many venues from coffee shops to churches to big music halls; functions from weddings and funerals to special dinners; and just for fun with family and friends. I first started music at a young age through my local church; my first instrument being flute. I studied flute for many years before taking formal voice lessons. This led me to become a voice performance major at the Manhattan School of Music, where I sang lead roles in and outside of the school. In addition, I continued my flute studies as well as strengthen my piano skills. I try to inspire students to become passionate musicians and people through my teaching and by example. It is important to play from the heart and not just notes on a page. It makes music and flute playing all the more gratifying! I also provide a lot of positive encouragement for students in their music but also for their lives in general.
