I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2004, I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education. I've performed with the Waterloo Wind Band (Austin), the Austin Symphonic Band, the Cypress Symphonic Band, and the Shimmer Flute Choir. My greatest interest in music rests in Ethnomusicology. I have a particular passion for traditional Celtic music, and am proficient in the Tin Whistles. I also dabble in traditional Native American flutes, and own instruments from Guatamaula and the indigenous tribes of Alaska. With my teaching comes a deep appreciation for music, the message it sends, and the way that music culture affects the people around us. I come up with a customized lesson plan for each of my students that will stay on the best possible path to success. Based on skill level, all lessons are geared toward progressing to a goal that the student sets while setting individual milestones. I choose a method book that is most appropriate for the student.
