I usually will put together a bundle exercises compile of flute methods and exercises I create myself to help the student progress. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. To start, I like to have students use the Beginner Rubank Method Book (the blue book) and work through this to get the basics down.
