Each individual learns at his/her own pace in his/her own way. Getting to know my students with a free consultation helps me get an appropriate lesson plan together. Once started, I am always thinking about how to fine-tune things as we go. I like to cover a variety of material during our practices, but make sure to send you home with your own folder of print-outs for personal reference. Read More

Once the student has grasped the fundamentals I move on to a simple song in the category of music that I know they'd like to focus on. Read More

I have performed in around the world and recently completed a tour of India. Two of my recent albums were selected for the final 2015 Grammy Ballot. Read More

I began teaching years ago and have pursued it off and on over the years. I have taught in students homes as well as my own home. I encourage everyone to try to learn an instrument as an outlet for creativity. Practice is as deep as you want to make it, but if you are looking for serious improvement and development I suggest at least 30-60 min a day. However, any amount of playing and practicing is encouraged! Read More
