I generally ask what your musical interests are and then I find a method specific for each person. I work on identifying chords, improvisation,playing melodies and song writing as well. I am a fan of William levitts books or jazz guitar which is a method I learned at berklee and is a very useful book for picking teqnique in a fun way , exploring some classical etudes for electrical guitar and i find this to be a great tool for developing speed, ear training and identifying chords with different sonorities to them. I arranged and recorded two guitar solo album in the beautiful wooden sanctuary of Jan Hus Presbyterian Church in New York City entitled: An Anthology of Sacred Carols for Classical Guitar and An Anthology of Sacred Hymns for Classical Guitar were subsequently released on EAGLE MASTERWORKS PRODUCTIONS (formerly Eagle Records Masterworks). I began teaching in my undergrad to help pay living expenses and have been teaching ever since in private studio, public schools, and private music schools. In total I have taught for eight years and change. I strongly encourage my students to perform in public and play music with others as much as possible.
