Everyone has a talent for and comfort level with communication. Music is simply another form of the same though universal and like all art forms, so much more can be expressed with so much less. From an early age we become comfortable with verbal and physical expression. Music is no different; we just don't learn to speak the language as a matter of course. I have had a passion for music since I was ten years old, and I would love nothing more than to share that passion with the next generation of young musicians. I graduated with a degree in jazz performance from Rutgers University in 2020, and have performed all across the country with several phenomenal musicians, at venues such as Feinstein's 54 Below, Count Basie Theater, Carnegie Hall, and numerous colleges and universities across the east coast. I follow the students in the directions they are inspired to go. Read More

These are a very straight forward 3 book set that takes kids from knowing almost nothing technical about music to being able to play and read quite complex arrangements. Once we get our feet planted in this area I will expand into using chord charts and other materials to supplement. Once that is begun we usually start to make up a list of songs that the student may be interested in learning so I can build up the vocabulary to achieve at least a simple arrangement of those songs.
