My education background is in civil engineering, so tend to be a hands-on, problem solving teacher. If a student has a weakness, I tend to focus on correcting the problem point and focus before moving on. I believe in consistent practice which fits within the confines of one's schedule. With younger clients I focus on mechanics of guitar at the base level. I really focus on playing basics early on. Beyond beginner lessons at the more intermediate levels I focus on more playing by ear.
