My teaching style is individualized to meet the needs of the students. I like to use a portion of the first lesson to discuss the goals and musical interest of the student regardless of age. I encourage beginner students to learn basic theory to develop rudimentary skills. I then try to incorporate a student’s favorite music into the lesson plans. Often there are students with previous instructors and I have no trouble picking up where the student left off. I can recommend books or a series as well as supplemental skills practice books. We have been lucky to play for many radio stations as well as performing with many todays top performing musicians, such as The Beach Boys, Gloria Gaynor, The Osmond Brothers to name a few.
