My teaching experience started in college, as I began teachin private lessons pasrt time 6 years ago, and I have been consisting teaching either on school campus or at my home studio. I encourage regular practice and like to set up consistent schedule's is something I encourage young students especially for the parents involved. I use a combination of both classical technique combined with modern music. I try to make the music something fun to learn so students will want to continue learning their instrument. Read More

My teaching experience began when I was working on my Associate of Arts in music production and sound technology. Having been trained in music theory and classical guitar from the University of Chile for three years, by the time I started college, I was able to help many students. I mostly gave guitar and singing lessons, but also did tutoring in music theory. I have been teaching music ever since. Read More

I am an exciting young Mexican-American guitarist and composer, began playing guitar at the age of 13. In 2014, won the international, Lowden Young Guitarist of the Year competition for performers and composers under 25, organized by the Irish guitar company of guitars, Lowden. As the winner, I traveled to Lowdens Northern Ireland workshop to pick out a guitar (choosing a Richard Thompson signature model) and to perform alongside Lowden signature artists, Jon Gomm and Thomas Leeb, at the Lowden 40th Anniversary Concert. I love to see students learn something and progress as the make music. Therefore, it is my goal that my student progresses at their own pace. I encourage the students to set goals for themselves and help them achieve them. Commendation is given as the student progresses and this encourages the student to dive deeper into his playing. Also, I try to see what the student is interested in, where her it be rock, alternative, blues, classical, or even jazz. Read More

Flowing between the presentation of new information and the actual active playing music is very important to the way I conduct lessons. Especially for the young, I place much more emphasis on facilitating musical experiences rather than the integration of musical nomenclature and conceptualization. When we learn to speak, our ears guide us first, and we imitate. Writing and reading comes later. I've found that this pertains to music as well, if not even moreso. Read More

Since my graduate degree days 25 years ago , I have been steadily teaching both as a private instructor, and in classroom situations... I'll confess that, while group lessons do foster an energy that can be exciting, the reality of dividing my teaching attention between multiple students is not quite as exciting at putting ALL my effort and attention int one private student! As a choir director, I not only have the opportunity to teach "voice," but "musicality," and I find that to be an highly satisfying experience! Read More

If a student is losing interest in learning I would brainstorm and adapt my teaching style to be more relatable to their learning style. I encourage my students to use skills they learn in our lessons to compose produce original music, perform with friends, perform in local music recitals concerts and simply have fun with what they've learned! I've taught students from 6 years of age to adults and believe music is a joy deserving for people of any race, gender and age! Read More
