It's not enough to just go through the motions. I insist that my students contemplate their progress, bringing goals and questions to every lesson. I believe that music is as much about you as a person as it is about technique and work ethic, and as such, I care deeply about everybody that I instruct. Remember, impressing me isn't the goal! You will have the best possible experience in my studio if you bring work that you are satisfied with. Read More

I enjoy teaching students in both the classroom and private setting. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see a student master new ideas and advance as a musician. I've taught in New York City, Los Angeles, and Oklahoma since 2009. In New York City, I teach theatre technique at a musical theatre school. In Los Angeles, I teach Alba Technique at an Actor's Workshop. In Oklahoma, working with children, I've taught ages 6-adult, directing musical and theatrical productions like Grease, Les Miserables, Much Ado About Nothing, and The War of the Worlds. I also teach acting - theatrical, classical, and on-camera - and approach singing from a "storytelling first" approach. Read More

I understand that many people take voice lessons recreationally, and that not everyone trains like a college student. I do, however, encourage all my students not to sell themselves short and set high standards for themselves. I acknowledge any and all progress that is made, and encourage my students to be proud of the sound they are making. If you don’t like your voice, then you certainly won’t sing for someone else.
