Playing and making music should be an enjoyable past time for all people of all ages, without judgement because of skill level or genre. In my private music studio in Shanghai and Germany, I've taught both violin and viola, covering a wide range of repertoire and essential techniques. I hold degrees in flute performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and have performed and taught extensively in the Cleveland and western New York areas. I also have a special interest in music theory and music history, having earned Early Music Performer's Certificates through the joint music program with Case Western Reserve University and tutored music theory at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Hello! I was originally trained as a classical cellist, but I fell in love with the ukulele when I was in high school. In college at Loyola Maryland, I was the president and founder of the ukulele club which was featured on the Today Show with Al Roker in 2017. I perform with my ukulele when I can at coffee houses and events. I sang in choirs and a-cappella during college but when I sing or perform alone I always use my uke. Read More
