I typically use the Suzuki method violin books, but I can also work with Strictly Strings and Essential Elements. Depending on the natural strengths of the student, we may start with music fundamentals or jump right into violin setup and technique. I typically pair the books with exercises of my own invention meant to isolate the technique at hand for that lesson. I have been playing the trumpet for over 20 years and enjoy spreading my love of music. I graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2007 with a degree in Music Education and from Western Michigan University in 2009 with a Master's of Music in Trumpet Performance. After graduation from WMU, I taught in various school districts around New York as a substitute teacher and music teacher.
