I have been teaching guitar for over ten years. I have taught students of all ages, and all levels ranging from beginners to advanced jazz. I also specialize in music theory, with a vast knowledge and understanding of the theoretical side of music, which I gained from studying at Berklee College of Music. I have also directed students in bands of many different genres! I have worked as a professional musician alongside part time and full time teaching for my entire adult life. Read More

I am sure to acknowledge accomplishments, not only by finding and setting milestones with each student to discover during lessons, but by (as effectively as I can) creating opportunities for students to perform a recital and demonstrate what they have learned for friends and family. I also make a point of ensuring students know that their lessons with me are a safe and inclusive space. I work to get to know the student to understand how they learn but also what circumstances might be troubling them and affecting their ability to learn happily and effectively. Read More

Voice: In voice lessons we do not use books which allows me to fully customize lessons to the individual students needs and wants. I teach different methods of breathing, including low costal breathing and we focus on posture, sound placement, among many other fun skills. Speaking: Speaking lessons are also highly customized, as speakers could be anyone from film or stage actors, to voice over artists, to public speakers and beyond. Read More

For beginning flutists, I typically start with the Rubank Elementary Method so that they can have a basic grasp of the fundamentals. Beyond that, I introduce books according to their musical goals and needs. Some of the books my students have studied out of are the Rubank Intermediate/Advanced books and the Melodious and Progressive Studies edited by Cavally. In addition, I have each student regularly work on solo literature so that they can put their hard work on fundamentals into practice. Read More
Instruments: Voice Fiddle Music
I've been teaching and leading sectionals for four years now, and have taught lessons on both fiddle and voice! It's an honor to be able to spread the love of music to students, as music has changed my life. Consistent practice is important, but so is finding what the student loves to practice. Music should be fun, even as it's hard work! Students are encouraged to write, explore their own creativity, and explore other avenues of music beyond performance, like learning music theory and notation, as well as the basics of music software, if they're interested. Instruments: Guitar Bass Guitar
I've been playing music since the age of 7. Classically trained in Guitar and Cello, I continued focusing on the guitar when I receieved a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music. The last 19 years of my life has been nothing but excitment from sharing the stage with national acts, playing music festivals to recording with a grammy writer. Since early 2000, I have been an active guitar instructor in Denver where I currently reside. Read More
