I really enjoyed helping them break down a problem, I always had a very systems-approach. Recently, I had a female student that was learning pieces for her school's talent show. Depending on experience level I like to get people making music as soon as possible. I know that trudging through the basics can be tiring. Of course some basics are neccesary but I like to make the basics sound as musical as possible. We will cover the fundamentals but we'll do so in such a way that it won't feel like so much work. I like to use books, depending on skill level, for reference but I have a very hands on approach and feel that the best work to be done together is the stuff that can't be found in the book. I've been passionately involved in music for as long as I can remember. In 2015 I graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a BS in Recording Arts and Music. My passion for the science behind recording and manipulating sound has driven me to experiment on the drum set, and while composing my own music. My teaching style is where both myself and the student have the accordion on at the same time. I will demonstrate the bass of the instrument on the left hand at first and have the student play along with me, only on the left side.
