In high school I was a section leader in marching and concert band for two years, leading sectional rehearsals and helping students one-on-one. For beginners, we start with the fundamentals of playing and caring for the instrument as well as the basic of reading music.  As the student starts to get a firm grasp on the fundaments, we will begin moving towards the goals of the student. The great thing about one on one teaching is each of my students get individual time with me versus being in a band class with lots of other students. My father was a professional trumpet player, my sister played piano and won the Miss New York contest 2nd place, my aunt, uncle and cousin played trumpet, piano, accordion, saxophone, clarinet and bass as a group for fifty years. I played with all of them on occasion. However, when I played club dates or weddings I worked through the musician's union local 802 or various bookers. I'm a solo and collaborative pianist and music teacher. In 2020, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music Cum Laude in Piano Performance from Rice University Shepherd School of Music. I joined the College of Music for my Master's degree in Fall 2020, studying Collaborative Piano. I have been a recurring prizewinner in MTNA competitions and made my international debut in 2016, playing Mozart Concerto K. 466 with orchestra from my the Universidad de Alicante in Perugia, Italy.
