Instead, I have a highly flexible teaching style, which allows me to meet a student's individual needs for lessons. I take the time to learn about my students' learning preferences and create new ways to teach material that will make more sense for them. For beginner students who are pursing music on the tonal instruments, I typically start with learning the names of the notes on the instrument and the major scale in every key as it relates to the piano. For the bass guitar I start of with basic finger strength techniques and exercises while incorporating the major scale fingering form and Nashville numbering system for all tonal instruments. For voice, I start off by finding the range of the individual and then teaching warmup techniques while building the individuals technique through finding a song and learning how to sing along.  Read More

I love all types of music, but especially jazz. I attended Sacramento City college from 2003-2006 majoring in recording studio engineering but with a minor in jazz performance. I moved to NY in 2006 where i regularly played jazz and rock gigs with up and coming young musicians. I had the opportunity of playing on a jazz album, as well as playing for some studio sessions.
