I have been passionately teaching guitar lessons to people of all ages and experience levels since 2000. I also taught youth and teen band classes and clinics at Plugged In Band Program in Needham, MA from 2005 to 2018, prior to moving to Los Angeles in January 2019. For both my younger and adult students, I like to start lessons with warm ups, then move to technique training, etude, finally to solo pieces, with each lesson including a brief review of the previous lesson. For beginning students, I start with teaching them about breathing, posture, and positioning of the instrument, so students can develop solid foundation, and good playing habits. Nothing is more encouraging than seeing students get excited about progressing and getting closer to their goals! I love to see students nail their jazz band auditions into high school or college, or seeing them get their first recording session from a major artist. Equally fulfilling is seeing beginners play their first C major scale with proper hand position and fingering!
