For students of all ages I focus on fundamentals by using, The Remington and Arbans books, but for beginners Hal Leonard's Essential Elements is a great start. The fundamentals are never mastered, and the Arbans and Remington methods, are time tested and proven methods for improving on Trombone. I also use the Arnold Jacob's method of Song and Wind. I have been teaching music for over 15 years. My lessons are very specific and similar in structure and format. Regardless of which direction the student wishes to take their musical development, a foundation of classical training is mandatory. I teach classical piano and flute but have opened up the lessons to include pop, rock and jazz on occasion. I am patient yet strict.
