I have had multiple different instructors throughout my life, and some of them seem to have had their own agenda and what they wanted me to be learning. I will then begin to work into fingering,picking,chords and other basic elements. Beginners are also instructed on the foundation of all music which is melody,harmony and rythym. For the more advanced student I find, most want to know more about technique, finding their own sound, theory and a more advanced knowledge of how to increase their abilities on guitar.
