Growing up with a music teacher for a mom, I began playing piano, learning music theory, and sight-reading at age 5. After years of studying piano, I expanded my musical journey by picking up the trombone, bass, guitar, and drums by the age of 12. I am a passionate instructor who loves to watch students grow and develop. The majority of my teaching experience has been in the realm of sports and physical education, however, I have a deep love for music and it brings me joy to share my gifts with others. Read More

To me as a musician, teaching is as important and as necessary to our art as performing, and it is always a joy to share that art with students. I graduated from Kent State University in 2015 with my Bachelor of Science in Music Education, followed by a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance in 2019, and recently completed an Artist Diploma from UC-CCM. Although a bassoonist primarily, I've performed with orchestras such as the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and the Warren Philharmonic, as well as bands like the Akron Symphonic Winds, the Cleveland Winds, and the Packard Band. “There is, has been, and always will be a certain group of people whom inspiration visits. The words from this poet perfectly illustrate my calling, a calling to share a gift which keeps giving: music. Read More
Instruments: Flute Piccolo
My experience teaching goes back to high school in which I tutored students in multiple subjects including Spanish and English. I also would help my section to improve as a section leader. During my college years, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant which allowed me to help students primarily in music. Part of my duties included teaching smaller classes and tutoring students in music theory and ear training. When the flute professor was unavailable, I would run studio class with another teaching assistant. Read More
Instruments: Violin
I have a love for music, a love for violin, and a love for people and communication in general, which I feel enables me to be a good teacher. As long as the student has a desire to learn and is willing to put in practice time, I guarantee that the student will see improvement! As a teacher I feel it is my responsibility to provide my students with a healthy stream of encouragement. Read More
Instruments: Voice Music
I always focus on proper and healthy singing technique, therefore, for every student, I start with physical and vocal warm up in order to develop fundamental skills of breathing and support. Then I move on to songs or arias (classical or pop), adjusting good vowels and body tensions to improve resonance and efficiency in singing. And I like my students to choose their favorite songs to stay motivated and have fun. Read More
