As Seattle native, I have played music all across the United States and Canada, attending such prestigious summer festivals as Académie d’Orford Musique, the Meadowmount School, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Indiana Summer String Academy and Interlochen Center for the Arts. I am the cello professor at George Fox University and have a lively Suzuki Studio in West Linn, OR. I began teaching cello in high school in California. I have taught at the college level as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington where I taught undergraduate non-majors and string technique classes. I have also held a position as a professor at Edmonds Community College. I'm a passionate music educator with considerable experience as a teacher and performer. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2005 where I studied music education with an emphasis on trombone. Since graduation, I have been fortunate to have many opportunities to conduct, perform, and teach music. I play a many different instruments and perform many different genres and styles. I was mentored by a great teacher, Grisha Krivchenia and learned how to be a compassionate teacher. I helped teach composition, music theory, small groups, bass and guitar.
