For beginning piano students who are children, I usually start with Faber and Faber methods and performance books. I supplement with other solo materials as the student progresses. For beginning adult piano students, I use Alfred's Adult PIano Method. For the more advanced students, music is typically chosen from a variety of sources, so that the student is playing music that is challenging and enjoyable. I have been teaching since I was 18 towards the end of High School. I taught lessons part time through college and since graduating college have maintained a steady roster of students. I focus on getting to know and understand each student and their goals to customize lesson plans for that individual, all while covering the essential and important fundamentals.
