I enjoy success stories. As a teacher, I enjoy seeing my students successful. I try to take very little credit, especially in public, because ultimately, it is the students who get out on stage and put themselves on the line. As a professional singer, I understand what they need to do to succeed and will support them the best I can in fulfilling their dreams. We will work together to define what is wanted, the dreams and ideas, then we will put them into reachable goals. Read More

For basic piano, I start students with the Piano Adventure Primer level lesson book, which can easily be ordered online or found in your closest music store. If the student has little experience in music literacy, this is a great place to start and we can further explore where their interest in music lies. For singers, we will take the music they like to sing or whatever repertoire they are working on in a school or amateur ensemble and ensure free and healthy singing. Read More

I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs and desires. I encourage all of them to develop reading, listening, coordination, and concentrating skills. I help each student to have the ability to play many different music styles and improvise in those styles. We work with developing the ear in order to play along with recorded music and teach them how to transcribe the songs so that they can document it for future use. Read More

I believe that playing the piano should be fun, not a cold or rigid experience. Unlike many piano teachers, I tailor-make a lesson plan for each of my students so their personal goals can be achieved, individual needs met, and so they can play what they want to! Not only do I teach piano, but I also teach an appreciation for and understanding of music as a whole so my students can develop their musical ear. Read More

I don't believe that there is any single "right" way to make or produce music. Music is an international language that transcends boundaries of statehood, culture, and identity. As a South African, I was raised on the drumbeats and rhythms of traditional Zulu and Xhosa folk music. Upon moving to the UK, I received classical "western" training in drum kit, chorus, and piano. In my professional career, I learned the "rules" of recording and production, mastering Pro Tools under the tutelage of some of the finest producers in the business. Read More

One of the biggest things I've learned from teaching students and being a student myself is that ultimately, the student's mindset and practice habits are the biggest determinant in their improvement. That is why I believe strongly in getting to know each individual student before designing a week-by-week curriculum that I feel is best for them. Books I tend to use often include the Faber "Piano Adventures" series, Hanon, and Bartok's "Mikrokosmos" (for sightreading practice). Read More

I'm a confident, passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love, and colorful style of music, I always believe that music looks like a rainbow, had a different color to organize a beautiful and fabulous skyline. In 2018, I graduated from Berklee college of music with a Bachelor of Degree in Piano Performance. Performing all over the world has been the most exciting, enjoyable and valuable experience of my life as a musician. Read More
