My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 15 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my in my studio for the last 10 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for their instrument. I've been teaching guitar since senior year of high school. I have taught from elementary age to adults small groups to private lessons, beginner and advanced guitar. I started guitar when i was eleven years old and through consistency and practice i was able to do the solos my teacher was asking for in concerts. For students of all ages I focus on fundamentals by using, The Remington and Arbans books, but for beginners Hal Leonard's Essential Elements is a great start. The fundamentals are never mastered, and the Arbans and Remington methods, are time tested and proven methods for improving on Trombone. I also use the Arnold Jacob's method of Song and Wind. Music is supposed to be fun, dynamic, and a way of expression. After many years studying music in the best schools I learned that one cannot play music before becoming a part of it fisrt. My lessons may also be a combination of music and technology. Having extensive training in IT (I also hold a bachelor in Computer Engineering and working in a masters of Software Engineering) I can also teach the student how to use technology to further his learning in music. I enjoy teaching students of various age levels and experiences. I am happy to help upcoming middle school, high school or college students. I tailor my lessons to fit the needs of each student I teach without pushing a student too hard. I try to use feedback from each student to determine and plan out lessons on the trumpet.
