Instruments: Piano Voice
Music is my life, my passion: I constantly maintain my demonstration of this, in my manner, my teaching, my performance. This, I find, is infectious to all who cross my path. I also maintain an attitude of gratitude for my talent, and my parents' love, support and encouragement of my music. By them placing me into lessons at the age of 6 (accordion!), along with my drive and dedication and high level of musical education, I am a full-time musician, performer, and music educator. Instruments: Piano Violin Harp
My teaching experience started in high school when I started teaching harp and piano part time. I had a close relationship with my music teachers growing up and I hope to establish the same type of relationship with my own students as I have with previous ones. It's also important that there is a balance between fun and time put in. Without practice, one cannot play an instrument well. I hope to encourage my students to practice so that they accomplish a level of success that motivates them to continue enjoying music for the rest of their life. Read More

I enjoy guiding students to their specific goals and helping them gain understanding of their instrument and also of their own innate musicality. I tailor all lessons to meet both of these areas and find that it not only helps students motivate but also learn to engage their instrument in a way that is both fun and rewarding for themselves. I encourage students to have an open mind especially in regards to genre and what can be gained by broadening our musical palette as they build their practice and fundamental skills. Read More

With both piano, percussion and drum instruction I cover things such as technique, reading, music theory etc. I work out of a variety of books depending on the student's level of experience and interests. In regards to technique there are a variety of things that I cover including the mechanics of the body, posture, hand and arm positioning and a variety of techniques depending on what the music is calling for. Instruments: Piano Saxophone Flute Clarinet
Lessons are catered to each individual student. The lessons are set up to maintain a balance between fun (to keep them encouraged) and necessary exercises to build the foundations that will excel them to the next level. Such methods will include basic music understanding such as posture/finger positions, reading music, ear training, improvisation, finger-memory exercises, etc., where they will both purposefully learn techniques and unknowingly develop very important musical faculties. Instruments: Guitar Trombone Ukulele Euphonium Tuba
For brass players, I use Arbans, Bordogni, and Blazhevich etude books coupled with Rubank and other duets to form a solid foundation. From there I try and let the students' own interest in music guide other parts of practice. With strings I like to start out with the Hal Leonard beginning books to get the basics of reading music. From there I couple learning popular tunes the student picks with developing method books to maintain a strong fundamental of playing. Read More
