I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. Anyone can learn to sing but there are so many significant factors that most teachers forget to include in their training. Has worked with jazz and pop bands throughout his career, and currently leads his own jazz ensemble. He has periodically performed solo piano concerts of his own piano arrangements and he regularly plays solo keyboard/piano music at private functions. In addition, he created and performed music shows for elementary age children. He had 14 years of teaching experience at the School District and has a huge amount of experience teaching piano to beginners through advanced students of all ages. Read More

I am very flexible when it comes to method books.  I try and work with any materials that may be required by the student's school.  For older students, I tend to use standard method books such as Rose, Klose, Polatscheck, Baerman and a few others based on the student's needs.  I also have many exercises that dont require books.  I often play in lessons or bring recordings to offer an example. During my middle through high school years as a performing arts student, I began teaching to the younger grades because I loved filling my time with music performance and education. I was honored to perform at various venues on Philadelphia's Avenue of the Arts, such as the Kimmel Center. I have performed with the Curtis Institute of Music, Temple University's orchestra, the All-City Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as multiple performances with the conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
