Every student has a unique journey. My goal as a teacher is always to build understanding for my students, and never utilize methods that are 'tricking' anyone into success. I want to give my students the tools to begin finding success on their own and grow independently of my teaching. I utilize systematic approaches to building progress, giving exercises that the student can take home and practice daily to ensure rapid progression. Read More

I have taught all ages from 4 - 98. I emphasize a well-balanced diet of classical, popular, sacred, and jazz. Students' preferences are always taken into consideration. In addition, I provide students with a solid theoretical foundation. Concentration is upon functional theory that is applicable to where the student is in their music studies. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity whether it be improvisation on 12 bar blues patterns or composing in an ABA form. Read More
