I was the only teacher in the Academy who teaches improvisation. I have also written and published scientific articles, including "Theory of Music Harmony, Technique of Piano Performance, What is the Blues, and What is Jazz. For young children, I start with the use of their 10 fingers. We do finger exercises using Middle C as the center and exercise the fingers in up and down playing at the piano. I use the Faber method of study which is fantastic, is graded, introduces all kinds of pieces and a lot of theory. It is a very interesting course and my students do very well using it.
