Growing up, I was always active playing with several youth orchestras and various ensembles, ranging from classical to popular and folk music. I try to make sure students can progress at their own pace based on their own skill level and experience with the instrument. I try to instill diligence patience and not being too hard on yourself as the top priorities. I want student and teacher interactions to be casual enjoyable and fun but at the same time serious with regards to the composer's intentions in the music. For beginners in piano, I like to find books that the individual feels comfortable with and that they completely understand what they are getting themselves into. Every person is different. For snare drum, I like to use a book called stick control which helps students develop mastery in the way they play from precision to striking the snare drum correctly and the way they overall develop their style of playing. My experience in teaching has been mainly focused on voluntary work, in teaching close friends, family and friends. I have always wanted to teach the joys of Classical Music to all ages.
