There are many books on drums and piano or voice. I have to get to know the student to determine what I will use to get better results. It will depend on their age and attitude and initial talent. Also, a lot of kids are busy at school and don't have much time for practice. If there at level three but haven't touched 16th note triplets and go from there. Different students have different levels of perception or assimilation. This i establish before i even start the introductory class proper.
