I point out their strengths yet I keep a close eye on their weaknesses and work with them to eliminate any all bad habits in playing instruments. In that time, I've worked with students making their very first sounds, all the way to helping my students successfully audition for university music programs (often receiving scholarship!). Nine times out of ten it is a short-lived pipe dream, when the realization of consistent practice, sacrifice, and hard work equals results is reality.
