I began teaching music lessons before I actually graduated with my degree in Music Education! In college, I gave voice lessons to fellow students regularly and lead many rehearsals and after school music camps for elementary and middle school aged students. While student teaching, I had the opportunity to lead 5 different choirs, lead 8 different levels of music education and give after school tutoring to students. I graduated from the University of North Florida in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Music Performance. I have been teaching music for ten years, and learned from some of the best at my time in college. Lessons are geared to the individual student. I try to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere while providing a professional experience for the students. Theory is emphasized as well as technique for both the piano and voice student. Most voice students will get a basic knowledge of music reading skills while piano students tend to have a bit more in depth studies. This is achieved through setting and attaining specific goals and keeping a student engaged with the decision making process of what they want to play.
