I have been offering group and private piano classes specialized in teaching beginners(both children and adults) using Mayron Cole's Piano Method for 10+ years in my home studio. I started first by teaching kindermusik for babies and toddlers in a neighborhood church location and a music studio in the Copperfield area, then I opened my home studio in 2004 by offering group keyboarding lessons for many young beginners. Piano students: I usually use the Piano Adventures method, as I find it very methodical and balanced. In each class we do exercises to improve technique, sightreading, and performance along with music theory exercises. In a second part of the lesson we work on the songs having as main goal the creation of a repertoire that the student can play later to family and friends. Having had so much experience with so many apposing methods, I myself have learned that there are as many different types of learners as there are types of people, so it is best to let the student show you what works for them.
