In pretty much all my students' lessons I would include fun improvisation activities starting from the first lesson.I've found that pretty much everyone has the ability to improvise to a certain degree or another and that unlocking this activity early in training creates a sense of " familiarity" with music and the piano right away.I found that it's a wonderful way to explore the shapes and sounds of the piano through the experience of music first rather than the theoretical aspects of it. I keep track each week in a notebook of what their assignments are. I use many different books, learning by ear, learning by youtube, learning by rout, and I have developed my own music writing technique which decodes any song at any level to a much easier level because all students are unique, and deserve to have a teacher who can reach them. It is also very important to me that the student picks their own songs to learn as part of the curriculum, and I will help the student discover which style fits them the best. Read More

My method of teaching attunes to the student needs, and flexible when it comes to pieces but I always try to integrate classical music for I believe that it is basic foundation in piano playing.
