Im a working pianist, educator, music director, and accompanist. My greatest passion however is teaching, and I try to weave that into every part of my musical life and work. I graduated in the spring of 2022 with my bachelors in music from Rollins College in Winter Park Florida, studying under Dr. Gloria Cook. My favorite work to do aside from teaching is music directing musicals. I love to travel the state to play in and lead a pit of musicians and to bring a show to life through the thing I do best. In 2011 I performed with the string orchestra as part of the 50/20 celebration in the British Embassy of Kuwait for the VIP guests, including Prince Charles Attendance (2011). I performed in the following school productions: ”The Phantom of the Opera” (2009) ,’’My Fair Lady’’(2010),” Blood Brothers” (2011), ’’Evita’’(2012),’’Jack and the Beanstalk’’ (2013),’’The Lion King’’ (2014). From 2006-2008 I was employed as an accompanist for the Kuwait Singers Choir. For beginning voice students, I'll introduce them to the basics of singing, such as breath support, tone, etc. We'll start with some classical songs in order to cement good technique, and then branch out into the different types of music that the student would like to explore. For beginning piano/keyboard students, we'll begin with Piano Adventures Book 1 by Faber and progress through lesson books until the student is comfortable trying solo pieces. Read More

I began teaching about 5 years after I began playing guitar and piano. I started by teaching private lessons for local students my age and then slowly worked up to teaching in a music store for all ages and skill levels. I have had experience in many different environments from being a small private instructor traveling to students homes to working in private music studios and schools and also being on-staff teaching group classes at the collegiate level. I began taking private lessons shortly after I joined the band program in middle school. I continued to take lessons all throughout high school and college. Shortly after graduating high school I was offered the position of drum instructor. During college I taught for several years as the drum instructor at Winter Haven High School.
