I am an encouraging teacher, but I help my students set realistic goals (and stretch goals!) that keep them motivated to progress in their musicianship. How our lessons progress really depends on the student in question. If they would like to pursue competitions, I am well equipped to help. I like to emphasize progress in small intervals and continued interest through fun and self confidence with the instrument. It is important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I started Piano lessons at 6 and quickly received classical training to 12 years old. I have been playing professionally since 14 years old. I have co-written and performed alongside the multi-platinum hit songwriter, Stan Doc Penridge (of the 70s rock band, Kiss.)
