I am a Chicago-based freelance Trombonist who recently graduated from DePaul University in 2021. Since I began my college career in Chicago, my professional music career started up simultaneously. Since 2017, I've played in a wide variety of ensembles around town. These ensembles / genres include: Wedding Bands, Jazz, Big Band, Classical, Funk, Hip-Hop, Afrobeat, Salsa, Rap, House, Fusion and more. I received a BA Degree in music at Columbia College back 2001. My Major was Music Education and my minor was Child Development . I also a piano accompanist at Tuesday morning bible class at my church Since 2015. I sings in the church choir for 23 years . I started learning how to play the piano at ages 7 and a half. I continue to studied music in grammar and in high school. I played in the Jazz band once in College and played the keyboard at the Jazz Summer Festival once 21 years ago. Read More

I am flexible and I adapt my method to the student. I like to start students out with learning scales right away. If you can learn the scales, it makes learning new songs so much easier. Plus, they are great excercise for building agility. I also like to use a book called "A Dozen a Day" which includes more excercies for building agility and helping students master more difficult levels of music. Read More
