Upon graduating the Conservatory in the spring of 2014 I remained in the greater Boston area until the summer of 2018, during which time I both remained active in the creative music scene as a performer and became busy working and teaching. Over those years, I was a part of the bands Aykroyd, Letter Castle, Particulars, Ryan Power, Los Greys, Every Kim Parcell, Listening Woman, and Creative Healing, among others. I encourage every student to be the masters of their own musical development, first and foremost. I tend to treat every lesson as a consultation session, and we will get into the practice method that is appropriate for the student's given musical strengths and weaknesses. I guide them through some practice, and continue to give them next steps. I stress a commitment to a solid warmup routine. I am a pianist, music copyist, arranger, composer and instructor. Graduated in 2016 with a BA in Music Technology, I started piano at an early age with Yeou-Cheng Ma (sister of Yo-Yo Ma), but it wasn't until early High School that decided I was going to be a composer. I was taken under piano apprenticeship by my mentor, the renowned modernist pianist Edmund Niemann. With him I truly understood what it means to have a great piano teacher. Read More

For all of my students, regardless of level, playing together in lessons is a big part of my teaching method. Playing together in lessons fosters intonation, musical commutation skills and sound blending. For beginning students, I work a lot on sound production and tonguing through progressive etudes and duets. I incorporate performance environments early into my curriculum. For older students, I explore fundamentals through advanced etudes and work on solo repertoire, chamber music and orchestral excerpts. Read More
