My name is Joshua. I am a 26 year old pianist who has been playing for 20 years. I am an experienced teacher, performer, and composer. I play around town in a Jazz duo, as well as in a 3 person band. The wonderful aspect of my former teachers were that they allowed more advanced students to teach students that were not as advanced therefore giving the more advanced student a chance to learn and develop skills of teaching. For my beginner students, who are younger, I start off with the Faber series in the Primer levels. After progressing through the first few levels of the series, I then start to introduce solo repertoire depending on the interests of the student. For my older students, we also go through the Faber Adult Piano Adventures book, where we learn the basics of piano along with some fun pieces.
