Also I like to discover every young singers beautiful voices and try to help them to find out their own voice with the healthy techniques. That’s really important for young singer to get to know well about their own voice. It’s always right to help younger musicians to find out the musical style that fits them well and enjoy the every moment that they sing or play! Read More

2023 marks my eighth year as a private lesson instructor! I taught my first lesson during college for a local studio and have continued teaching ever since. I have been a church accompanist since I was 13 years old and have accompanied many soloists, school choirs, and musical theater groups - I even played keys in a few jazz bands! I specialize in classical voice instruction, but have found the technique is very adaptable to a variety of repertoire. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my undergraduate days as I began teaching private lessons around eight years ago. Since then, I have been consistently teaching students in local studios and in their homes for the last 5.5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. My number one rule for teaching is patience and setting small goals each week. Every student should want to pick up the instrument days after the lesson. Seeing someone learn a song and playing it through correctly is a mini miracle. Progress through repetition and different exercises has been a high yield of success in my personal experiences. Praise for when a student fulfills a goal goes a far way in future lessons. Read More

Students will not continue studying, practicing, and performing if they don't enjoy the lesson experience and relationship with their teacher. Learning happens most meaningfully and rapidly (not to mention is sustained) when students connect with their teacher, and that most easily occurs when teachers are in tune with their students' interests and goals. As a former music student who sometimes had very little input in what I learned on certain instruments, I remember the boredom and sometimes dread on the lesson day! Read More

I listen the music which the student has been practicing. Then, I guide him/her to make corrections and enhancements. I use positive reinforcement to strengthen those parts of the performance, and suggest and demonstrate correct concepts. Then, after hearing the piece again, decide whether review the assignment or move on. Playing duets with the student is often part of the process. Doing that helps them feel the true meaning of the music; and also helps make up for a pianist's ordinarily lack of group playing because he usually practices alone. Read More
