My passion is music and spreading that joy to others. Each student is different and special. I find ways to tap into the potential of all students (of any age), and assist them in goal setting, using music as a tool in many ways, and building the confidence to continue adding music- performance or not- into their lives. I took a very non-traditional path into music as a career, but I love guiding others in their musical pursuits from a viewpoint of someone who made missteps along my journey, and strive to be the best musician and teacher I can be. For beginning students, I usually start with the Rubank Elementary Method. Having established the fundamentals, I like to introduce the student to a series of etudes and more challenging repertoire as the student develops.
